Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They let a site recognise your device and remember small pieces of information between visits. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which we also describe below.

2. What we use

We keep this short because we only use a small number of cookies and similar technologies.

Analytics (optional, only with your consent)

• Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*), onpokertimer.pro and the tournament clock atapp.pokertimer.pro. Used to understand aggregate usage: pages viewed, rough geographic region and, in the clock, which features are used (for example that the clock was started, a blind level was edited or the bounty wheel was spun). Those events never include room codes, tournament names, email addresses or your uploaded images. Data is aggregated and not used to identify individuals. Measurement ID G-Y1KNMN8DLT. Typical lifetime: up to 2 years.
• Nothing is loaded until you accept. When you first visit we show a banner with "Accept" and "Decline". Until you press Accept, the Google Analytics script is not downloaded, no analytics cookies are set, and Google Consent Mode is told that analytics storage is denied. Closing the banner without choosing counts as Decline. Your choice is shared between pokertimer.pro and app.pokertimer.pro, so you are asked once; in the clock you can change it at any time under Settings, Account.

Essential (browser storage, not strictly "cookies")

• Consent choice (pokertimer.pro and app.pokertimer.pro). A localStorage entry and a cookie on pokertimer.pro, both namedpt-analytics-consent, that remember whether you accepted or declined analytics so we don't ask again on every page or on the other site. They contain only the word "granted" or "denied". The cookie lasts one year. Cleared when you reset your choice below or clear site data.
• localStorage (app.pokertimer.pro). Stores your tournament setup — blinds, chips, payouts, theme — so the clock can resume between sessions. Never leaves your browser. Cleared when you clear site data.
• sessionStorage (app.pokertimer.pro). Stores a short-lived device ID used to distinguish your host screen from your controllers during a multi-device session. Cleared when you close the tab.
• Authentication tokens (Pro only, app.pokertimer.pro). localStorage entries for JWT access and refresh tokens, set after you sign in with Google. Required for Pro features. Cleared when you sign out or clear site data.

Payment provider (Stripe)

When you reach a Stripe checkout or customer portal, Stripe sets its own cookies to process the transaction and prevent fraud. Those cookies are controlled by Stripe under their own policies.

3. What we don't use

• We do not use advertising cookies.
• We do not use cross-site tracking pixels.
• We do not share cookie data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Manage or withdraw your consent

Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately: Google Consent Mode is switched to "denied", any _ga cookies we can reach are deleted, and the analytics script will not be loaded on your next page view. Your choice is stored only in this browser, so you may need to repeat it on other devices.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies via their settings. Blocking essential browser storage (localStorage) will prevent the tournament clock from saving your setup and may disable Pro sign-in. If you want to block Google Analytics on every site, not just ours, Google offers anopt-out browser add-on.
