Terms of Use
Effective date: 22 April 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between you and the operator of Poker Timer (an independent service operated by a sole individual based in the United Kingdom, referred to here as "we", "us", or "Poker Timer"). By accessing or using www.pokertimer.pro or app.pokertimer.pro (together, "the service"), you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the UK and EEA) to use the service. You are responsible for complying with the laws of your country, including any local restrictions on gambling-related tools. Poker Timer is a utility for running tournament timing and administration — it does not facilitate real-money gambling or wagering.
3. The service
Poker Timer offers:
- A free tier with the full tournament clock, blind structure editor, chip set designer, mystery bounty wheel, payout curve editor, visual themes, and keyboard shortcuts — all browser-based, with no account required.
- Pro (paid) which adds multi-device remote control. Pro requires an account (sign-in via Google or GitHub) and an active subscription.
We may add, remove, or change features over time. Significant changes to Pro features will be communicated to active subscribers by email where appropriate.
4. Accounts
To use Pro you sign in via a third-party identity provider (Google or GitHub). You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you use to sign in and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Plans. Pro is offered on a monthly or annual basis. Current pricing is shown on our pricing page and during checkout.
- Payment. Billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to the plan you chose.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled. We will not change the price of an active subscription without giving you at least 30 days' notice.
- Taxes. Prices shown may exclude applicable taxes. Taxes are calculated and charged in accordance with your location and applicable law.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time via the Stripe customer portal linked from the account area in the app. Cancellation stops future renewals. You retain access to Pro features for the remainder of the billing period you have paid for.
No pro-rata refunds. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
UK and EEA consumers — digital content. You have a statutory right to cancel a purchase of digital content within 14 days of placing the order. By starting to use Pro features during that 14-day period, you acknowledge that performance of the service has begun and you expressly agree to waive your right to cancel. This does not affect any other statutory rights you have.
If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, email [email protected] and we will investigate in good faith.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the service at volumes that degrade availability.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, authentication, rate limits, or other technical controls.
- Use the service to send spam, phishing, malware, or other harmful content to third parties.
- Use the service in violation of any applicable law or the terms of our processors (Stripe, Google, GitHub, Cloudflare).
We may suspend or terminate access (including paid access) for serious or repeated breaches of these rules, with a pro-rata refund where appropriate.
8. Intellectual property
The service, its branding, and its underlying code are owned by Poker Timer or licensed to us. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose.
You retain ownership of any content you create (for example, custom blind structures or chip sets), and grant us only the licence necessary to host and deliver the service to you.
9. Third-party services
The service integrates with third-party services (Stripe, Google, GitHub, Cloudflare, Google Analytics). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss of data.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.
We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, or data.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access (and, for Pro, your subscription) if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes affecting Pro subscribers will be communicated by email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to the service, except that where you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
